Random Matter – Cliff Robinson Suspended, Joey Trade Terms…
Looks like we have one less person to draw fouls on Shaq tonight. His perimeter shooting will not be missed by the Heat.

The NBA announced today that Clifford Robinson of the New Jersey Nets has been suspended without pay for five games for violating the terms of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program. Robinson’s suspension will begin with tonight’s game between the New Jersey Nets and the Miami Heat.
The Dolphins acquired quarterback Joey Harrington from Detroit today for a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2007 draft. The pick can increase to a fifth-round pick if Harrington receives significant playing time.
Harrington is expected to join the team this weekend in time for practices with the Dolphins next week.
A source said the Dolphins were among several teams recently contacted by New Orleans about a trade for running back Michael Bennett. The Dolphins didn’t have strong interest in Bennett as a free agent, but that was before backup running back Ricky Williams lost his appeal of a drug suspension for the 2006 season.
As the Marlins prepare to decline San Antonio’s stadium offer by Monday’s deadline, Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina said Thursday he expects a ballpark deal to get done locally. ”My sense is it will get done,” Robaina said, adding that his faith was not based on blind optimism but on progress in negotiations. “I feel confident because of what I’m hearing from the team and county. I’m hoping we can get it done by the end of the month.”
