Braves @ Marlins Preview, 7:05 PM EST

Atlanta (30-34) at Florida (23-37), Tuesday, 7:05 p.m. ET

When the Marlins last saw the Braves, they were in the midst of being swept in a grueling four-game series where they blew ninth-inning leads. On Tuesday, the Marlins are hoping for a change of luck when Atlanta visits Dolphin Stadium for the first of three games. Florida returns home after going 6-3 on a road trip out west. Logging roughly 7,000 air miles, the Marlins held up nicely in a swing through Colorado, San Francisco and San Diego. While Atlanta holds a 6-1 edge in the season series, the Marlins are vastly improved since dropping four straight at Turner Field (May 15-18).

”It was a very, very good road trip,” manager Joe Girardi said. ”I think we’re all happy,” Beinfest said. “Not any Expos or Marlins team I’ve been with have come out [West] and played a nine-game stretch like we just did.”
