BREAKING NEWS: STACKHOUSE SUSPENDED

MIAMI — Today, on “Galloway & Company”, Dallas Mavericks Head Coach, Avery Johnson, announced that Jerry Stackhouse is suspended for Game 5 after officials review flagrant foul against O’Neal…

Stackhouse was called for a flagrant foul for knocking O’Neal down as Miami’s center was going in on a fast break during the third quarter of the Heat’s 98-74 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night.

Senior vice president of operations Stu Jackson relied on tape of the incident and interviews with Stackhouse and O’Neal before deciding if Dallas’ top reserve should be suspended.

Mavs Coach, Avery Johnson, is upset with the league’s call, saying that the league’s decisions are inconsistent.

Dallas Mavericks forward Jerry Stackhouse was suspended Friday from Game 5 of the NBA Finals for his hard foul on Miami’s Shaquille O’Neal in Game 4. At the time, Stackhouse was called for a flagrant foul. But after reviewing the play and discussing the details with both players, league vice president Stu Jackson opted to upgrade the punishment to a suspension.

“The contact by Jerry Stackhouse was clearly excessive and warrants a suspension,” Jackson said in a release.

    Thats cool Dude. Did you hear on 790 today Dan Lebatard and Stugotz were saying how immediately after the game last night he was complaining about the Dirk Hasselhoff masks? This guy thinks the NBA revolves around him. Pathetic.
