Cam Endorses Ricky, Other Dolphins Bits
If there is one thing Cam Cameron has always been good at, it’s maximizing his talent, especially at the running back position. That’s why it should be no surprise that Cameron has come out and said he is very open to welcoming Ricky Williams back to the Miami Dolphins. Wayne Huizenga has said he would not block the return of Williams, who is currently seeking reinstatement into the NFL after serving a one-year suspension. Instead, he would leave the future of Williams up to new coach Cam Cameron.
There have not been serious discussions yet with our key free agents, but the Dolphins are already showing the need to resign several of them. Such free agents include Cleo Lemon and Yeremiah Bell (who are restricted) and Darian Barnes and David Bowens. Vonnie Holliday initiated discussions, but Miami hasn’t made an offer.
On the Randy Mueller front… It’s believed Mueller has declined to close a loophole in his contract that allows him to speak with other teams because he is seeking an extension to his current deal, which runs through June 2008. It’s well known that Wayne wants him back badly, and most Dolphin fans would agree. Randy has always been a top GM, but the last few years has had his hands tied due to the Nicktator. I would really love for him to stick around and work his magic with Cam. Wayne should cancel his flight to Tennessee, sit Randy down and offer him an extension. Get it out of the way and get back to Dolphin offseason business.

I think its about security. Lock him up and move on Wayne.
