Nick Saban is Back, You Make the Call
Our wonderful friends over at PFT have broke a story this morning regarding our long time friend and ex coach Nick Saban. This time it looks like he is in deep crap for some questionable comments that were made off the record after his Alabama press conference. Nick Saban is about to head into letter of intent day with this cloud hanging over his shoulder, whether it’s true or not. There is some speculation that this could be a very well done forgery. Check the audio player below for the clip.
Here’s part of the transcript…
“My friends are okay with it. The rest of those guys? One of my, one of my guy on the board — you guys won’t be able to put this on the thing — was walking down the street, one of the Board of Trustees guys like these people around here and sitting up on the stage today at LSU, is walking down the street yesterday before the Sugar Bowl. He calls me. There’s a guy working in a ditch. One of those coon-ass guys that talk funny. I can’t talk like him but he can. Most people in Louisiana can. And he says, ‘Hey, you see where Coach Saban signed up with Alabama?’ You know however they talk. And the Board of Trustees guy says, ‘Yeah, I saw that.’ And he says, ‘That son of a bitch. I feel like he’s f–king my wife.’”
Here is the audio in question:
What do you think? And try to keep your personal feelings away from this subject. I know you all hate Saban.

Now I loathe Saban as much as the next guy… but, I’m not buying that just yet. Sounds legit, but still… I can’t imagine Saban ever being that candid with reporters. We all saw how he treats and detests the media. Can you honestly see him sitting there, shooting the breeze with those guys like they’re all best friends? No way. Good fake, but I’m calling fake nonetheless.

I totally agree. If one of the members of the South Florida media wanted to make him a steak dinner and pay for his children to go to college, he would figure out a way to use the word “relative” and tell the media to piss off.
Unless up in Alabama they do it differently. They sit around with the media, a bottle of Jack and four shot glasses. Then the media turns on the recorders and doesn’t tell anyone. What’s recorded is published. No questions asked.

I don’t think the Sabans are tolerant of the multicultural lifestyle, among the other things they are. The following scenario probably occured between King DingaNick and his husband, errr wife, Terri:
Terri Saban: honey, this Miami thing ain’t working out!
Nick Saban: Why?
Terri: Everytime, I leave our $7 million mansion I run into those people that we didn’t like in Louisiana
Nick: Who? the coon-ass?
Terri: yeah! Only they talk different! I can’t understand a word they say!
Nick: (laughs) Oh sweetie! those aren’t the coon-ass; those are the Cubans!
Terri: They still “scare me” Nicholas. Why don’t you take that Alabama job? They’re paying you more!
Nick but…
Terri: They’re paying you more, those people scare me, and it’s not like people think you are an “ass” already…”Your my ass nicky poo!”
Nick: oh, okay! It’s not like am molding young minds here! Let me call Jimmy, we’re going were we belong.

In all seriousness, a guy that is so mediaphobic as Nick Saban; it’s hard to believe he would say that, although the profootballtalk item quotes him — I believe — as sort of saying he used the word. By the way, didn’t he tell us several times, he wasn’t leaving?
