Tim Hardaway Hates Gay People
And he isn’t afraid to let you know. The following audio is from The Dan LeBatard show, which always provides SporTech with entertainment. I literally had to rewind this 5 times to make sure it was the same Tim Hardaway I have grown to root for. His comments are shocking if only for the fact he has the balls to speak his mind. I’m sure there are plenty of others in and out of the NBA who agree with him wholeheartedly. Oh and when asked if Dwyane Wade was that gay player on his team what would he do, he lays down a classic line with the classic Timmy swagger…
“I don’t even wanna go hypothetical like that!”
This is likely to create a huge shit storm. Check the audio below and leave your opinions. Does this change your opinion of Tim Hardaway?
(Update: It looks like the Miami Herald picked up on this as well. Story here.)
(Update 2: Audio edited for easy listening.)
(Update 3: Deadspin is having a field day with Tim Hardaway today. You know I could have sworn we broke something here at SporTech Matter that wouldn’t have become such a big national story, but of course ESPN is making it one.)

Yeah I’m all for freedom of speech but your comment makes you just as ignorant as Timmy. I’m not having any of that on my site. Thanks for stopping by.

I personally love gay people – i want all people to be blessed and to prosper.
I hate homosexuality b/c I love gay people. Homosexuality is sin in bible. The bible says that the wages of sin is death. Sin hurts people – i hate sin b/c it hurts the people i love. My experience is that the sin/bondage of homosexuality hurts people. It is not Gods/Loves perfect plan for people.
Hardway said he hates gay people. I love gay people and will work hard to protect them from haters.

Romans 1: 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

At the same time – “whatsoever is not of faith is sin” – gay people should not be singled out – there are a lot of people sinning. People need Love&healing, not condemnation.
