Scoreboard Matter – Post 1000!

Last nights game started off sloppy but turned into a hard fought grudge match. What’s funny is at the end of the 2nd intermission the Cats could have had at least 6 goals on the boards if it weren’t for some magnificent saves by Denis. Nathan Horton contributed with what looked like his best game of the year. The Lightning on the other hand looked bored, standing around during power plays and not being aggressive most of the first and second periods. That didn’t last long as the Lightning came back strong in the third to tie the game up and send it into overtime. Needing a shootout, the Lightning notched another OT win to pick up the 2 points in what might be the best game I’ve seen all year despite the loss. The Heat are back in action tonight in Houston with Pat Riley back running things. Check out the recaps and previews…

Last Nights Games

  • Tampa Bay Lightning 3, Florida Panthers 2, SO – The Tampa Bay Lightning overcame a slow start with another late-game comeback. Martin St. Louis scored the tying goal midway through the third and then tallied in the shootout, helping the Lightning beat the Florida Panthers 3-2 on Tuesday night. Tampa Bay is 11-3 in games that have been decided after regulation and 7-15-0 when trailing after two periods

Tonights Games

  • Miami Heat (26-26) at Houston Rockets (33-19), 9:00 pm EST, TV: ESPN – Pat Riley is feeling better, and so is his team. The combination is getting him back on the bench for the Miami Heat. Looking to help the Heat build on the momentum they took into the All-Star break, Riley will be back coaching for the first time in seven weeks as the defending NBA champions visit the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. Miami (26-26) won seven of its final eight games before the break, finishing the first half of the season with easy wins over San Antonio and Portland. The Heat now look to move over .500 for the first time since they were 3-2 in early November.

Have a good day and GO HEAT!
