Scoreboard Matter – You Can’t Win Em All

You definitely can’t win them all when you don’t even show up. If it looked like the Magic took the Heat out back and whooped em, they did. Perhaps it was from partying it up all night at Shaqapulco with Gladys Knight and the Heat the night before. Trap game or hangover the home winning streak is over as well as the overall win streak. Not to worry Heat fans, their are new streaks to start. Hey at least the Marlins are starting to play well heading into the start of the season. Hope everyone had a good weekend. Let’s check the score breakdowns…

Yesterdays Games

  • Florida Marlins 3, Washington Nationals 1 – Nationals starter John Patterson is still trying to get comfortable on the mound. Patterson pitched three innings and gave up three runs, including a two-run homer to Mike Jacobs, in Washington’s 3-1 loss to the Florida Marlins on Sunday.
  • Orlando Magic 97, Miami Heat 83 – Hedo Turkoglu scored 11 of his 20 points in the first quarter, Dwight Howard added 17 points and 11 rebounds, and the Magic ended Miami’s nine-game winning streak with a 97-83 victory Sunday night. It snapped the Heat’s run of 14 straight home victories, and got Orlando within a half-game of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Todays Games

  • Houston Astros at Florida Marlins, 1:05 PM 560 WQAM – Returning to Roger Dean Stadium today, the Marlins send lefty Scott Olsen to the mound in search of his second straight win. Listen to all the action live on 560 WQAM as the Fish take on the Astros, who are going with right-hander Jason Jennings.

One note before you begin your day. SporTech would like to extend condolences to fans, family and friends of Dolfan Denny who passed away over the weekend at age 72. A life long Dolfan he gave his all to root on our beloved Phins. RIP Denny.
