Cam Cameron Wants to Clean Up Satan’s Mess

Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday. Was quite a hectic day, but eveything is back to normal. JD is back and ready to go. It also looks like Cam Cameron is ready as well. The news out of Dolphin camp the last few days reveals some interesting tid bits on the lack of brains we have running the front office. I’m a supporter of “The Muel” and Cam’s new gameplan of “retooling” the Phins squad. What I’m not a supporter of is this obsession we are having with Trent Green. Luckily others have idiotic general managers and have joined the hunt to acquire Trent Green’s services. What I also find asinine is the fact we are letting David Carr visit other teams. Mind you these are other teams who are clearly looking for his services as a backup QB. Carr has the chance to start in Miami and be a longterm solution behind center. Something we clearly have not had since the immortal 13 graced the green grass of Joe Robbie Stadium. The most interesting bit of information revealed in a John Czarnecki blog entry on Fox Sports

Word out of Florida is that the new head coach doesn’t believe Daunte Culpepper will ever be of any use to the Dolphins.

“We keep hearing that Cam doesn’t like Culpepper,” said a rival GM. “You have to think that Cam will make a move because he has a solid defense and he has a chance to win now with Green.”

This pretty much solidifies the fact that Cam Cameron hated what Nick Saban did before he arrived. Saban might have saved our salary cap, but he set us back a few years talent wise. His obsession and loyalty to veteran players blinded his judgement of free agent pickups. Instead of going young, Saban felt the need to hold onto veteran players. Hopefully Cam can take the garbage out and see that he doesn’t need to replace Forrest Gump with Abe Simpson. Cam, your a new Florida resident, you need a new Carr to drive. Bring him into the Wayne H dealership and enjoy that new Carr smell.

I really feel bad for the turn of events for Daunte Culpepper. I’ve been a huge fan of his since his college career when I attended UCF. I was a huge supporter of bringing him in, although the Drew Brees deal made more sense. So it hurts to talk bad about Daunte. I’ve spoken to him numerous times on campus years ago and he was nothing but a nice, down to earth guy. That being said, him being a nice guy will not win us football games. Cam is making a business decision and it should turn out to be a lucrative one.
