Out at the Plate! Out at the Plate! Out at the Are You Kidding Me?!?
I hate to harp on this play at the plate from Wednesday’s Marlins/Phillies game but you have to listen to the Phillies’ announcers. Classic!!

I just saw this clip on ESPN. Calling him out when he was safe for about 5-10 secs.
I love how they change their minds after the replay.

I almost started crying when I heard this. Weird thing is I had this clip hours ago but I’ve been watching it at work with the sound off. Now that I’m home it’s really hilarious.
Kalas just sounded nutty and his partner was like, “Ummmm shut up”

Rip a legend for calling him safe? Gimme a break, that was a close call. The throw was well ahead of the runner, and he should have been out. The problem was the catcher has no guts, and he stood up, to avoid contact. If he blocks the plate he is out.
The worst part is Brett Myers injured his shoulder on the next pitch, when he should have been out of the inning. Typical Phillies blunder.

No disrespect meant. I was having a laugh at his expense. Kalas is a fantastic broadcaster.
It seems like Barajas was preparing for a collision and was standing his ground. I’m not sure how but Hanley amazingly slipped right under. I always hate to see a player go down with an injury so hopefully BM can recover quickly.
