The Great Debate: Ramirez or Reyes

Recently there has been a large amount of articles around the internet playing the “Shortstop Comparison Game” in the National League as it’s one of the strongest positions this season, especially in the NL East. Our very own Hanley Ramirez is on the top of many lists and many writers agree he has the edge over Reyes mainly b/c of his power. I’m not about to get into the comparison’s today as I will devote a post for that later in the year when blogging is slow mid summer. I did however want to bring to your attention the many articles comparing the 2 young shortstop phenoms.
Complete Sports: Takes a look into the Hanley vs Reyes debate going into the numbers. Their pick is Hanley.
Sun-Sentinel: Matt Baker gets into the comparison including quotes from both Reyes and Ramirez on each other.
ESPN Insider: Rob Neyer looks into the debate and gives a slight edge to Hanley Ramirez.
Beyond the Boxscore: The guys did an excellent job doing the Hanley and Jose dance.
Associated Content: Breaks down all the SS in the National League leading up to the All Star Break.
Sun-Sentinel Marlins Blog: Hanley Ramirez vs Jose Reyes, homer pick?
Considering this is a South Florida site this might be a bad idea but I got it from the good guys over on Complete Sports. Participate in the Reyes vs Hanley poll. Remember if there is one thing Hanley can do it’s rock a pair of badass Shadez.

Thanks for the link… yeah I went with Hanley, but both guys are just awesome. I’d love to have either of those guys playing on the Twins (who I root for)

Either guy would fit so nicely in the leadoff spot in front of Luis. Speaking of which I really miss Luis. Such a class act and hard player. If you manage to stop back by here what are your impressions of Castillo?
Personally we got hosed on that deal!
