SporTech Hardball Fantasy League Update

Hey SporTech fantasy leaguers! Here is your first update of the season for the SporTech Hardball Fantasy League. I was originally going to post updates like this weekly but I figured there is not a huge change in points/standings in a week so it was just not worth it. So instead, since we just finished the first 1/3 of the baseball season, I figured I would do these updates in thirds.

The fantasy league got off to a bang with the New York Douche Bags and the Boston Batwings going head 2 head vying for first and second place for a majority of the season. There was alot of rising and falling in the standings as any start to a fantasy baseball season would have. Recent activity shows The Crushernauts making a push to get back in the top 3.

Strong Movers

Here are the key guys to the success of teams around SporTech Fantasy Hardball League. The table below shows the list of players who appear most often on the top 500 Public League teams in Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball. The results will be recalculated each week after the Public Leaderboard is updated.

Key Trades to Date and Results

Mike Mussina (NYY – SP) and Barry Zito (SF – SP) traded from The Crushernauts to Gyroballs for Octavio Dotel (KC – RP) and Jonathan Papelbon (Bos – RP). This turned out to be the only trade of the season to go down so far.

Mike Mussina: REC 2-3 | SV 0 | ERA 5.86 | WHIP 1.36 – Has been dropped and picked up by New York Douche Bags since trade
Barry Zito: REC 5-5 | SV 0 | ERA 4.21 | WHIP 1.32 – Still owned by Gyroballs.

Octavio Dotel: REC 0-0 | SV 0 | ERA 5.40 | WHIP 1.50 – Sitting on waivers after being dropped by The Crushernauts.
Jonathan Papelbon: REC 0-0 | SV 13 | ERA 1.86 | WHIP 1.09 – Still owned by The Crushernauts.
