I think I am more upset at the fact David Samson is laying the ground work to trade Miguel Cabrera and not his comments about Ichiro. David Samson is a leech and only has a position in this organization b/c he is Loria’s stepson.

I’m not just playing devil’s advocate here, I think Samson is right on. Does anyone honestly think he’s gonna be earning that 40 million when he’s 37 and 38?

He’s having an awesome season when he’s up for an extension? Wow, that’s never happened before.

The Mariners are killing their and the rest of the league’s ability to do smart business.

It’s a seriously retarded deal.

Totally off topic, but the talk of cheap unscrupulous owners had me thinking of the great HBO special last night; Brooklyn Dodgers/The Ghosts Of Flatbush. Even if you're not old enough to remember Jackie Robinson, the post-war Dodgers, through the situations that had them leave Brooklyn for CA in 1957, I think you'll really enjoy this piece of baseball history. I'm sure it will be repeated many times.
