Jason Taylor Fathead and Other Dolphin Nuggets
Laugh all you want. Today might be the worst day every year in sports. It’s the day that sits between the All Star Game and the second half. There is absolutely nothing going on today in the world of sports, and the start of NBA free agency has crawled out the gate. So I bring you useless news you really don’t give two craps about, yet your going to read b/c you have no choice.
- Fathead recently introduced its new Jason Taylor fathead. Now you can get Jason Taylor staring at you while you sleep in life size form. Order now!
- John Clayton thinks the Dolphins have a favorable schedule this season and thinks the Dolphins can score 20 points per game. 20 points per game? When was the last time the Dolphins score more than 15? John Clayton also has a squirrel on his head. I do agree with his favorable schedule comment.
- Better late than never. The Dolphins released veteran receiver Kelly Campbell on Friday, less than three weeks before training camp opens. Campbell, a three-year veteran, was signed to his second free agent deal with the Dolphins back in March.
- Starting in less than four weeks, Dolphins fans will get a chance to see the 2007 version of the club that will be trying to end a five-year playoff drought. The team announced Monday that it will hold 25 public practices, with the first ones at 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, July 28. The final open practice will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19.
- The USA Today did one of their fancy lists of the top 25 football players in the last 25 years. Guess where beloved Dan Marino is? Yeah he didn’t even sniff the top 10. He comes in at a cool number 11, two places behind my favorite and yours, Tom Freakin Brady at number 9. Weird b/c I was always thought Danny Boy was one of the top 10 players OF ALL TIME!
- New Dolphins tight end has received some praise from the Dolphins, now ex Packers are speaking up. Packers cornerback Charles Woodson, an ex-teammate of tight end David Martin, has a message for Dolphins fans:
”You’re not losing anything going from Randy McMichael to David Martin. David would be a starter on a lot of teams. He’s got great hands, good speed and he’s a good blocker.” We’ll see.
To get you through the rest of the day, check out an interview with Dolphins draft pick Reagan Mauia. Remember, he is the juggernaut bitch.
