Josh Beckett is Filthy
[MYPLAYLIST=10]
You read the title. You’ve seen the 2003 version of the movie…now your seeing the 2007 version. More mature, more focused, more determined. Could it be playing for a big market club in front of sold out crowds every night has changed JB’s mindset? Probably but whatever the reason, Josh Beckett is one filthy badass mofo.
I have always praised the job Larry B did in the deal to acquire Hanley Ramirez, Anibal Sanchez and Harvey Delgado from the Sawx but I will always have a place in my memory for Josh Beckett and what he did for the Florida Marlins.
Enjoy the above videos from last nights game including the Kenny Lofton debacle (which immediately reminded me of 2005, read more about that here), his dominant performance last night and his post game comments about National Anthem Gate.

Great clips. Thanks!
You know, I did too when I wasn’t sure how much/if or how good Beckett would be. It seemed great. But he is in fact some bad-ass and I wish we had him back. Seems we can’t afford him though. In fact I suppose we can’t afford the people we traded for him either….

Yea, the trade worked out for both clubs. There are still A LOT of Sox fans upset that they gave up Hanley.

Just saw the clip about his ex being flown in to sing the anthem.
“I don’t get paid to make those fucking decisions….thanks for flying in my friend so she can watch the game for free…”
Simply. Awesome.
Classic Josh.

That’s a great point b/c come 2011 Hanley Ramirez will probably be back with Boston b/c we could not afford to pay him on his first free agent contract.
I’m not sure where that clip is from or how it aired like that but it’s def classic JB! Total smart ass.

Yup. He’s cool and funny any other time. But before and after he pitches in big games he becomes this ornery badass. I love it.

I guess he figured there are alot more important things than some chick he banged signing the National Anthem.
