Health Matter: Hanley Ramirez Progressing
Hanley Ramirez will take another step closer to his eventual rehab for shoulder surgery he had on October 3rd. He will take his sling off. Joe Frisaro reports in his Marlin’s Notes…
“Next week, I am supposed to get the sling off,” said Ramirez, the 23-year-old shortstop who is coming off a spectacular second season.
Once the sling is off, he said he will begin a rehab program, and he is hopeful of being at or close to 100 percent by the time Spring Training rolls around in February.
Hanley remarkably put up high HR numbers last season with 29. His rookie season he hit 17. With a stronger shoulder for an entire season, Hanley should be able surpass 30 HR’s next season.
