Cam Cameron is a Selfish Bastard
Yeah I said it. I know I try to keep it fairly clean around these parts so pardon my “more obscene than normal” post title. Cameron has finally done it. He has shown the Dolphin fans that he cares more about saving his job then looking towards the future. Look, I can understand where Cam is coming from. You have to take care of your job and the status of your job is usually based on your performance. Don’t you think with everything that has gone down this season with injuries combined with the fact that Cam is a rookie coach that he would get a pass the first season? I sure do. It’s time to look towards next season and see what we have in Beck. Jeff Darlington reports…
Coach Cam Cameron announced Monday that Cleo Lemon will remain the starting quarterback indefinitely, putting the highly anticipated start of rookie John Beck’s career on hold for at least another week. Beck and Lemon will continue to split repetitions with the first-team offense during practice, Cameron said. That decision suggests Lemon’s leash could still be short, but Cameron insisted Lemon earned the right to start this week’s game.
You know this “gives us the best chance to win now” crap is just that, CRAP. This reminds me of “The Stash” a few years ago who refused to sit veterans in the last game of the season in order to get win number 10 on the season. It was all about himself and not about the team and the future of the franchise.
What needs to be done is simple. Wayne needs to get off his happy ass and lay down the law to Cam Cameron.
Wayne: “So I heard your choosing to go with Cleo this week against Buffalo”
Cam: “Yep Wayne, Cleo gives us the best chance to win NOW and I feel our fans deserve to get a win with the best players on the field.”
Wayne: “If your hoping that starting Cleo and getting that first win of the season will save your job next season, YOUR WRONG. So let’s put Beck in this week and for the future and see what we got for next year.”
Cam: “Yes Wayne.”

The ONE excuse I’ll make for Cam is this:
The Buffalo game may be one of our only chances this year to actually win a game. Don’t blow that chance by starting Beck in his first game. Gun for the W vs. Buffalo, then hand it over to Beck the minute the game’s over.

Yea, I don’t care about getting a win. I really don’t. I care about the future of the Dolphins — which is all that matters here. Period. Fuck pride. 0-16 feels just as shitty as 7 more losing seasons. We need to see what Beck can do. If he’s not the guy, we need to draft the guy.
I’m through defending Cam and his bullshit Social Studies teacher personality.

At this point what is a win really going to do for us? We are already the laughing stock of the NFL. It’s time for Cam to stop worrying about his personal agenda and get down to business.
