Heat Bite Back at Bobcats
Recap | Boxscore | Video | Photos
Getting a late start here today but had to drop a line about the Heat last night who blew out the Bobcats 110-90. It was one of the better played games of the season and came on the heels of major shakeups to the lineup. Ricky Davis was brought off the bench and Penny Hardaway got the starting nod in his place. That move seemed to payoff as Rick Dees had one of his better games as a Heatian. Chris Quinn got the starting nod for J-Will and Williams responded with 11 points and 8 assists. Couple of things I noticed from the game.
- Daequan Cook, no matter how young, needs to be part of this rotation on a nightly basis. The kid can flat out shoot.
- We should seriously explore the idea of getting whatever we can for Dorrell Wright because it’s clear this kid just doesn’t fit in Pat Riley’s system.
- Smush Parker was inactive b/c of legal issues which do not stem from any arrest. Smush should not be sniffing the court at all.
- If Pat Riley is going to make a change in the lineup and it works like last night, we should explore sticking with the changes rather than trying to send a message. I hate it when Riles has something working one night and deviates from it the next.
D-Wade couldn’t have said it any better after the game. “I can’t remember the last victory we had like this”.
