A league source tells the Boston Herald that the Dolphins’ new front office is “intrigued” by Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan. The last time Bill Parcells had the No. 1 pick, he used it on Drew Bledsoe and turned the Patriots around.

Bill Parcells apparently has reached out to at least one player whose Dolphins future appears in doubt — Ricky Williams. Williams’ agent, Leigh Steinberg, wrote in an e-mail to The Miami Herald that Williams received a letter from the Dolphins dated Dec. 31 and signed by Parcells renewing Williams’ contract for 2008.

What’s good for the Dolphins is probably going to be very bad for the Dallas Cowboys. Bill Parcells probably hasn’t even finished moving his elephant collection (Trunks up for good luck.) into his new office, but he’s already well along in the business of rebuilding the franchise.
