So the 2007 SporTech Matter Fantasy Pigskin league came to a conclusion on Monday with a final match up of THE MACHINE vs The Moops for the top spot. THE MACHINE was an early favorite to win it all post draft with his monster Tom Brady/Randy Moss combo and definitely did not disappoint in the finals. This year’s league was quite weird. Alot of ties mixed into this season with spots 3-7 with mediocre records ranging from 8-6 to 6-8-1. THE MACHINE finished the season with a winning roster consisting of…
QB - Tom Brady
WR - Randy Moss
WR - Anthony Gonzalez
WR - Santonio Holmes
RB - Ryan Grant
RB - Kevin Jones
TE - Vernon Davis
K - Phil Dawson
D - DeMeco Ryans
DB - Antonio Cromartie
DB - Michael Huff
DL - DJ Williams
DL - Ernie Sims
The top three finished as follows…

Congrats THE MACHINE! Stay posted b/c as soon as baseball registration becomes available we will have a SporTech baseball league, which is even more fun then football in my opinion.
Since you won the league, as a Fantasy Football champion you get to talk trash using Sportszilla’s This is Why We Play The Game Letter. Come on THE MACHINE we want to hear from you!!! Fill that sucker out and email it to me with whatever else you would like to leave in your own post and I will get it posted under your own editor account. Oh, we won’t be doing anything like these losers do so don’t get any ideas.
Congrats!!
Update: Just to add. Even though the league will be run through SporTech Matter next year, THE MACHINE takes over as league commish for winning this season and is allowed to make changes or additions to the scoring and rules for the league in 2008-2009. Once again congrats!

Congratulations to those teams who made it to the final rounds and to those in the consolation games. Reminder to the winner of the league: You will be able to write one full post on this blog either slamming the entire league you just beat or about anything you want related to South Florida Sports.
If the winner is THE MACHINE, he will not be allowed to slobber over Tom Brady and Randy Moss. In fact, he must find a way to slam Tom Brady and Randy Moss in his post even though they would have single handedly won the league for him.
Each Tuesday I will break down the weekend that was in the SporTech Fantasy Pigskin League. Team of the week, standing changes and key injuries will be discussed.

Team of the Week
The Oak Hill Steelers grab the Heineken Premium player of the week for defeating Buffalo Bills #1 103.50 - 82.00. A big pat on the back for getting your first win before the Miami Dolphin’s could get their first win. Oak Hill used a strong performance from Ben Watson (23 points), Greg Jennings (14 points) and Demarcus Ware (12.50 points) to put the beating on BB#1. Even with Lawrence Maroney being a game time scratch, you were able to fend off double digit point outputs from Lance Briggs, Neil Rackers and Laveranues Coles.
Honorable mention goes to the Benched Bruisers who put a hurting on Wally’s Monsters 102.50 - 75.00.

Team of the Week
THE MACHINE grabs the Heineken Premium Player of the week for destroying Fred Evans Taser 137-85. I’m willing to bet that as long as Tom Brady and Randy Moss stay healthy, THE MACHINE is going to be hard as hell to beat all season long. Whoever faces him on New England’s bye week is one lucky team. THE MACHINE received a whopping 20 points from Tom Brady on a night where he looked mediocre. Randy Moss pulled in two touchdowns last night to top off with 26 points. A big game out of Sammy Morris was not enough.
Honorable mention goes out to the Benched Bruisers who took TBNL out to the woodshed with a 128-68 beating behind strong efforts from LT2, Torry Holt and Terrell Owens.
One quarter of the way through the season, The Oak Hill Steelers grab the honorable “You Suck as Bad as the Dolphin’s Award” for starting the season 0-4-0. That’s ok because in his fantasy league, I have started 0-4-0 as well.
