Zach Thomas recently appeared on a Mike and Kevin’s talk radio show in Dallas and had the following to say regarding his decision to go to Dallas.
Question: You were looking to join a SuperBowl contender, and the Patriots offered you a contract. Why didn’t you take their offer.
Thomas: I played against New England twice a year every year my whole career. I learned to not like that team. I wasn’t going to join them.

I’ve gotten a few emails and a request on FinsNation to see if I can grab the radio call from the WQAM guys of the game winning touchdown. Well we have it and it’s glorious. You can literally hear high fives in the booth and Mandich practically come to tears.
Oh yeah, might want to get the name right. Congrats to Rich Camarillo and the Phins nonetheless.
Enjoy and NO BECK FOR YOU!

The Florida Marlins defeated the Cleveland Indians to win their first World Series in franchise history. The posted audio contains the full game 7 broadcast with Vin Skully and company from Dolphin Stadium. I figured with the World Series starting tonight this would be a nice refresher to show just how special the World Series is for fans of teams involved. The audio is 4+ hours long and has 2 parts. Click the number above the video player to start the part you want to hear.
Regarding this year’s WS, I look at it this way. I want the Sox or Rockies to win. The Rockies can only win if they sweep the Sox, keeping the streak going. The Red Sox can win anyway they want.
I’ll take your predictions for the series as well in the comments.
Oh and GO SAWX!!!
This is fantastic news. Ever try to listen a Marlin game when they are playing a West Coast game on 560 WQAM? Exactly, you can’t! You hear more Cuban pirate radio than Marlins broadcast.
David Samson was on with Dan and Stugotz to make the announcement and then talk about crappy movies.
Audio of the interview is up on 790 The Ticket. Clicky!

According to Josh Willingham a majority of the Florida Marlins organization has crapped their pants as an adult by accident. Hasn’t Jeffrey Loria made it a career of crapping on Florida Marlins fans dreams?
I figured I would get your day going on an entertainment note.

Post featured today on Deadspin.
Today’s song choice comes from superproducer UNKLE which is a British musical outfit founded in 1994 by school friends James Lavelle and Tim Goldsworthy. Originally categorized as trip-hop, the group once included producer DJ Shadow and has employed a variety of guest artists and producers.
The above track is called Lonely Soul and features vocals from Richard Ashcroft.
This by far is one of my favorite UNKLE tracks. This is off the debut album called Psyence Fiction. I highly recommend it to whomever is looking to get into UNKLE.
Some guests that appear on the album range from The Beastie Boys, Kool G Rap, Jason Newsted and Thom Yorke.
“I would say its the end of the world as we know it. If Ichiro is worth 20 million a year I am speechless by that contract. I am hoping that report is false.”
“Ichiro who has led his team to nothing, I hope your wrong Dan.” “It’s unbelievable”
This coming from our idiot President says this to me. Cabrera, be prepared to move your family out of South Florida because your not staying here. Look, it’s pretty obvious by now that the Marlins management is preparing the fans for the inevitable with these comments. There is no way Cabrera, who is likely to command upwards of 20 million a year, is going to resign with the Marlins while A) Jeffrey Loria still owns this team or B) We do not land a new stadium deal. The Marlins will continue to reap the benefits of revenue sharing and laugh in the faces of teams like the Mariners who lock up key players and superstars to longterm contracts.
The funny thing is I can picture Presidents and owners across the land sitting back and laughing at the audio below. I don’t know what’s more asinine the fact that Samson doesn’t agree with the contract or the fact he has never seen an episode of the The Simpsons.
Your thoughts and enjoy the audio. The key parts start at 3:45 into the interview.

Today is the official start of NBA Free Agency where players can actually sign with other teams. It’s been known for a while now that Jason Kapono is on his way to being a rich man in Canada with the Toronto Raptors. So Lebatard had his exectuve producer and Hoch write up a song as aa farewall to Jason Kapono.
This one is titled, Oh Kapono.
Enjoy!
Update: Commentor Hoch (executive producer of the Dan LeBatard show) pointed out the caller was not in fact a caller but himself. He did the production on this song. Thanks for correcting my mistake Hoch.
Trent Green is introduced as a member of the Miami Dolphins. If you do not already have Real Player installed or do not have the plugin installed, grab Real Alternative here. No spyware and watch any Real Media file you want.
After being introduced to the media Trent Green joins the Dan Lebatard Show with Stugotz for a brief, always entertaining interview.
